Sharon Farquharson

Sharon completed her Physiotherapy degree at the Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand. She has mostly worked in orthopaedics, with a brief foray into geriatrics and pediatrics. Over the years, Sharon has developed a treatment philosophy that combines patient education and exercise prescription with dedicated, one-to-one hands-on interaction with her clients, using a whole body approach. She has a keen interest in Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD) and orofacial pain and is a member of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain. She is always looking for avenues to improve and expand her knowledge base and techniques, complementing her techniques with Osteopathy and Craniosacral Therapy. Sharon successfully completed the certification examination offered by the Physical Therapy Board of Craniofacial and Cervical Therapeutics (PTBCCT) to become a Certified Cervical and Temporomandibular Therapist (CCTT). Sharon has also completed her training with Joy Moeller in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy and is qualified to treat orofacial myofunctional disorders. She is also a Certified Buteyko Breathing Instructor. Note: Appointments with Sharon require 48 hours prior cancellation notice.
